The Fire Guard protects all Midburn participants during the most memorable moments of the event - the burns. They are the force that stands before the flames, the ones who enable the burns of artists who have work on for months, to happen. They are those who protect the city from the fire and all the dangers involved. The role of the Guard is to ensure that artists have the possibility to burn and breathe fire in their craft and to do so in the safest and most enjoyable way for all Midburners.
